Kirby is a character and the protagonist of the eponymous series of video games created by Nintendo and HAL Laboratory. He first appeared in 1992 in Kirby’s Dream Land for the Game Boy handheld console.

Kirby hails from the planet Popstar, where he lives in a domed house in Dreamland. He has a positive attitude towards life and helps save the Land of Dreams thanks to his unique abilities.

Kirby’s signature skill is his ability to inhale objects and beings to gain their powers, as well as his ability to float by inhaling air into his body. He uses these abilities to save worlds, particularly the planet Pop Star, from evil forces and antagonists.
